Seventh Stories.

Seventh Stories is a creative hub for writers seeking experience, opportunity, and community. Through courses, workshops, and collaborations with publishing professionals, we help writers develop their craft and gain meaningful insight into the publishing process.

From editorial development to submission readiness, our programmes are designed to support writers at every stage of their journey. Previous programmes have included The Literary Lab, offering professional editorial insight for fiction writers preparing to query, and a four-week publishing course with Macmillan Publishing Director Clare Hey, exploring how manuscripts are read, evaluated, and strengthened for submission.

At Seventh Stories, our aim is not simply to teach writing, but to create spaces where writers can better understand their work, engage with industry perspectives, and build the confidence to take their next creative step. Whether developing a manuscript, preparing to submit, or connecting with a wider literary community, we support writers with practical insight, thoughtful guidance, and opportunities for long-term growth.

“I found the evaluation on my work really excellent. It was thoughtful, empathetic, with an astute understanding of the genre and content. There was great expertise demonstrated in observations about the genre of the novel, references to similar novels, and advice on approaches to agents. A very positive and inspiring experience.”
