Welcome to the submission page for The Literary Lab.Please upload your manuscript sample and synopsis below. We recommend reviewing the guidance carefully before submitting, as materials that do not meet the requirements may need to be revised and resubmitted.
Submission requirements
Your submission should include:
Up to 6,000 words from your manuscript
A synopsis (maximum one page)
The synopsis may be included within the same document as your manuscript. The synopsis word count does not count towards the 6,000-word limit.
Formatting
Please ensure your document meets the following:Format: Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx only)
Font: Arial
Size: 12pt
Spacing: 1.5 line spacing
Submissions should be clearly presented and easy to read.
Important
Please ensure the name on your manuscript matches the name used at checkout.
Submissions must not exceed the specified word count.
If your submission exceeds the limit or does not meet the requirements, you may be asked to revise and resubmit before it can be reviewed.
The editorial report is intended as a complete and standalone assessment. We are not able to provide additional personalised feedback beyond what is included.
Submission deadline
All materials must be submitted by: 15 May at 10am
We recommend allowing time ahead of the deadline to finalise and upload your work.
Editorial review
Your submission will be reviewed by our in-house development editor.You will receive your editorial evaluation by 5 June 2026.

You hold the rights to the material submitted
You are submitting for editorial review only
